Sheila Lewis - Counselling Therapy
Life can be tough sometimes! We have all experienced times when we just can’t see a way forward or maybe have a sense of needing to change old behaviours that are preventing us from living a fulfilled life. It may be that you are suffering with anxiety or depression and trying to manage how you feel is proving too much.
Whatever the issue or underlying problem, therapy can help you to understand the source of any distress or confusion you may be feeling. Understanding the reasons for these uncomfortable feelings can often bring freedom.
Reaching out for support may enable you to make sense of what is causing your distress and to help you get to the root cause; discovering why you feel the way you do. This may mean identifying something from your past that has formed negative beliefs that are making life more difficult in the present.
The therapeutic process begins by helping you to feel comfortable and safe in order for us to build a dialogue which I can reassure you is based on sensitivity, respect and appreciation of your issues. It will be an opportunity for you to open up and share personal difficulties with someone you can trust that will work confidentially with you, offering a caring non-judgmental approach. This will enable you to explore on a deeper level whatever it that is concerning you. My hope is that together we will find the best way to help you move forward and to learn new skills which will empower you to self heal and re-build your life in a way that you can successfully continue a way forward.
